EquipQR templates vs organization templates

The templates above ship with EquipQR as EquipQR Templates — best-in-class PM checklists for heavy equipment, machinery, and vehicles. You can assign them to equipment directly from the PM Templates page; cloning is only needed when you want to customize a copy for your organization.

Apply a template to equipment in bulk

On Operations → PM Templates, every template card has an assignment dropdown — the same multi-select picker used by daily check-ins:

1. The trigger reads Apply to Equipment when no equipment in the current team scope uses the template yet. Once assigned, it shows Assigned Equipment (count) so you can scan coverage at a glance.
2. The list shows equipment in your current organization, scoped by the team selected in the top bar.
3. Search, then use Select all, Select none, or Inverse to build your selection. Equipment already using the template as its default is marked Current default.
4. Click Apply template to set the template as the default PM on every selected record.
