Anyone can switch views for their session. Team Managers, Admins, and Owners can set the team default.
Teams represent different business shapes. A team might be a group of subject matter experts, an entire department, or an external customer whose equipment your organization services. The team's underlying data never changes — dedicated views surface the metrics and shortcuts that fit each shape.
1. Open the team and pick a view
On a team's details page, use the view switcher at the top:
- Internal Team — members and collaboration first: the member list, activity, and recent work sit at the top.
- Department — metrics first: fleet counts, maintenance posture, PM schedule, and workload lead the page.
- Customer — the external account first: customer account details, contacts, and QuickBooks mapping, followed by service history.
2. Set the team default
After switching to a different view, Team Managers (and org Admins/Owners) see a Set as team default button. Saving it makes that view the one everyone in the organization lands on for this team.
Customer view without a linked customer
If the team has no customer account linked yet, the Customer view prompts you to link one through Edit Team. Linking a customer unlocks the account card, external contacts, and invoicing mapping.
